The John Jones Internship in Community Healthcare Ethics
The mission at the heart of The Center is to endow the community with the knowledge and confidence necessary to form independent decisions when ethical conflicts arise in their healthcare. To this end the education of young adults is central to the program.
By exploring the practical and theoretical issues in the ethics of healthcare, The Center makes a positive investment in the lives of the interns and advances its mission in the community. The mission can hope for progress only if young people in the community feel a sense of moral responsibility for themselves and their community. This is why the internship program is so critical to The Center.
