Health Insurance for Illinois Children
All Kids is a state program that offers healthcare coverage to children, pregnant women and their babies, or helps in paying premiums of employer or private health insurance plans. At low, or no cost, the plans cover doctor visits and dental care, well-child visits, prenatal care, specialty medical services, hospital care, emergency services, prescription drugs, and many other healthcare services.
Illinois children 18 and under who live with their families in Illinois and who need health insurance can be covered by All Kids. Pregnant women of any age are also eligible for health insurance coverage.
To find out more information on All Kids, visit the program website: http://www.allkidscovered.com/ or visit The Center for Ethics and Advocacy in Techny, IL (an All Kids application agent).
(The current program for underinsured Illinois children is KidCare. It will be called All Kids as of July 1st, 2006.)
